The Tangle is Here! (Plus a Special Bonus)

It’s November 4th, 2017, and you know what that means! Wow. I honestly can’t believe that my second book is out today… It feels like I was drafting Behind Her Mask was Death just yesterday, and now that’s been out for over a year, and The Tangle is here as well! I can’t wait to see what happens next…

If you haven’t seen it yet, The Tangle‘s cover has been slightly updated since I last posted about the book. You can see this new, final cover below, as well as the links to find the book in both paperback and Kindle formats:

As promised, there’s also a little something extra in this post! I love making playlists for books and stories, and today I want to share a special playlist for The Tangle with you. These are songs that inspired aspects of the book, or that I chose because they fit the mood or the themes of the story. I hope you enjoy this playlist!

The Tangle Aesthetic Playlist:

Picture Perfect by Hidden Hospitals

Something Divine by NYVES

Still Breathing by VERIDIA

Black Honey by Thrice

Deadman by Glasslands

Chasing Fears by Graceful Closure

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed the playlist, and that you like the book as well. I am so excited to finally be releasing The Tangle to the world! Don’t forget that The Tangle Blog Tour happens next week, from the 6th to the 9th.

See you again soon!

October Monthly Wrap Up

And suddenly, it’s November (which means a whole lot of pain and tears for many of my writerly friends out there in the interwebs, but oh well). The leaves are falling (finally), its getting colder outside, and it’s time for yet another monthly wrap up post!

October Wrap Up

Highlights:

  • The Goodreads Giveaway for The Tangle ended, and two lucky winners have been drawn! Over 1,200 people entered the giveaway, which is crazy awesome! Thanks so much to everyone who entered. ❤️
  • I recorded a video interview with my amazing author friend Hannah Heath! We had a ton of fun and got to talk about writing, The Tangle, and lots of other fun stuff. That video will be coming out on the 8th of November as part of The Tangle Blog Tour, so why not pop over to Hannah’s Youtube channel and subscribe so you don’t miss it?
  • I did a couple new pieces of Clique art this month for #FanArtFriday! Both are rather fancy  watercolor paintings, which I think turned out pretty well, but you can be the judge of that… I posted them both on my Instagram, and you can see them below as well. 👀

Posts from October 2017:

Looking Forward:

November is going to be awesome. The Tangle is coming out on the 4th (you can still preorder the Kindle Edition on Amazon, if you like) and I’m having a special blog tour for the book from the 6th to the 9th! You can see the whole lineup for the tour here. I am super excited about this book, and I can’t wait for it to come out!

It’s also NaNoWriMo. I’m not directly participating this year (I had my own self-induced writing sprint back in July or August —30,000 words in 30 days— and it completely burned me out), but I’m going to try to write a poem every day during November, as I’m working on a poetry collection and I only have a few poems in it so far! We’ll see how that turns out…

Thanks for reading my October wrap up! Did you have a good Halloween? Are you excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas? Let’s chat in the comments!

Announcing: The Tangle!

If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that I’ve been posting a novel called The Tangle on Channillo.com as a chapter-by-chapter serial. I’ve put a lot of work into this story, and I really want everyone to be able to read it. Unfortunately, nobody has been reading it on Channillo, and while I’m glad I chose to write a serial for them (if I hadn’t, I never would have written this book!), I think it’s time to move on. The Tangle will be coming down off Channillo permanently.

Don’t worry, though! Today I am officially announcing the release date of my next book, which, as you may have guessed, will be The Tangle! Here are all the details you need to know about my upcoming novel:

Genre: Paranormal Suspense

Audience: Young Adult

Release Date: November 4th, 2017

It was supposed to be River’s eleventh birthday. It turns out to be nothing but a nightmare.

When River finds herself imprisoned in a strange house, belonging to a mysterious man called Uncle, she only knows one thing: She must escape. But every power in the house, it seems, is bent on keeping her within its twisted walls. The creatures that patrol the halls may be deadly, and River may have nothing but her wit and her will, but, with the help of several unlikely allies, she just might be able to make her way out of the house before she becomes nothing more than a mindless prisoner.

I’ve also updated the cover design! Mostly, I just fixed up all the text so that it’s a lot easier to read. You can see the new cover below:

Cover (Front) For eBook and Promotional Material

I am super excited about this book, you guys! The ebook will be available for preorder within the next few days, and you can follow me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for more news. I’ll be using #TheTangleBook to share updates and info. Hopefully, there will also be an opportunity to win some cool Tangle swag, and I’m going to talk to some of my blogger friends about a blog tour!

Chapter 8 of The Tangle is Live!

the-tangle

Hey everyone! Just a super quick post to let you guys know that ‘Black and Blue, Chapter 8 of The Tangle is live on Channillo.com today! You can check it out here.

Is anyone here following me on Twitter? I’m participating in #WIPTruthOrDare this month, so every day I answer a new question about my current WIP or take a dare to add something to the story! You can check out my tweets here.

Chapter 6 of The Tangle is Live!

the-tangleHey, everyone! Just a super quick update to let you know that ‘Fugitive’, Chapter 6 of The Tangle, is now live on Channillo! Click here to check it out.

Sorry I haven’t been posting in a while… Last week was my break week from school, and I may have been a bit lazy and watched a lot of Sherlock instead of actually doing anything, so… And this past week I had been trying to cram about a week’s worth of school into three days so that I could go to the Great Homeschool Convention on Thursday, so there’s another excuse… 😛 I’ll try to get back on track next week!

That’s all for now. See you soon. 🙂

Chapter 4 of The Tangle is Live! (Plus Updates)

the-tangleHello, everyone! Just wanted to let you know that Disappearing Trick, chapter 4 of The Tangle, is live on Channillo.com. You can check out the series here.

Quick update: I know on Wednesday with Words this week I hinted that there might be one (or two, or three) special posts going up this week. However, it turned out that I didn’t finish them until yesterday evening, so those will be posted next week, starting Monday and continuing through Wednesday. It will be a series of three connected posts (i. e., Part 1, Part 2, Part 3), and if you happen to be a geek/gamer, or you’re in to geeky DIY projects, you are not going to want to miss them! I am super excited about these posts. They might be a bit out-of-the-ordinary for this blog (so far, at least), but hopefully I can showcase another side of my personality that doesn’t really show up much on here (the geeky, DIY side 😛 ), and hopefully there’ll be at least some people out there who really enjoy them. So, if you’re interested, just follow the blog to be notified when those posts go up next week!

Anyway, that’s it for me today. Bye for now.

🙂
